FAQ

Questions crews actually ask

Is fronting a loan?
It works like trade credit on material, tied to one job. You get foam now and pay when the job pays, with a flat 15% fee shown up front and a hard cap of 45%. No daily debit, no personal credit line tied up, and nothing compounds — it is trade credit, not a merchant cash advance.
Do you pull my personal credit?
The 90-second pre-qual does not touch your credit. If you go ahead with a full application, we tell you exactly what we check before we check it.
How fast can I get material?
Approved crews on the Capital Region run usually get next-day delivery, and two to three days at the far corners of the state. We are delivery only — there is no pickup at the warehouse — so order to the job site or your shop, and the estimator shows the transit time for your ZIP before you order.
What foam do you stock?
NCFI is the house line: InsulStar 2.0 lb closed cell for roof decks, crawls and anything that has to carry the vapour control, SealTite PRO 1.7 lb closed cell when the spec allows a lighter set and you want the board feet, and SealTite PRO 0.5 lb open cell for interior walls and sound. SWD Quik-Shield 112 and 108 are on the floor too, for crews whose rigs and ratios are already dialled in on that line. The estimator prices on the NCFI sets — ask your rep and we will quote the SWD equivalent the same day.
Do you take collateral?
Not for a single job against a signed contract — that line stands on the contract itself. When you want a bigger line, or several jobs running at once, we secure it: a UCC-1 on the rig, titles on trucks and trailers, a personal guarantee from every owner at 20% or more, and a second position on business real estate above $50,000. Secured means we can claim the listed equipment on an unpaid advance, so pledge against work you are confident in.
What does factoring actually cost me?
You get 70% of the invoice face wired within about two business days. The fee is 6% of face for the first 30 days, then 3% for every 15 days after, and it stops at 24% of face — a $12,000 invoice settled on day 28 costs $720. Purchases are with recourse, so an invoice still unpaid at 120 days returns to you as a balance.
What if my customer pays late?
Tell us early. You can extend the advance up to two times for a flat fee. After that fees stop at the cap and we work out a plan. Hiding is the only wrong move.
Do I pay sales tax on fronted material?
Yes, unless the job is exempt. Tax follows the delivery address: New York State 4%, your county or city rate, and the MCTD surcharge in the twelve downstate counties. The estimator shows the split before you order and the invoice shows it again. If the work is a capital improvement, send us the ST-124 and we apply it.
What happens if drums show up damaged?
We count and inspect at delivery. Damaged or short drums go on the delivery record and we file the carrier claim — you do not chase anyone.
Can I use the app in Spanish?
Yes. The whole site and portal work in English and Spanish. Tap ES at the top.
